You have paid for a Domain India cPanel hosting plan. There is nothing to switch on yourself: the account is created automatically once the invoice is paid. This guide shows how to check it is ready, find your login details, point your domain at it, and do the five things worth doing in your first hour in cPanel.
Most hosting accounts are created automatically within a couple of minutes of payment, and a "Your Hosting Account is Ready" email follows. Open Hosting › My hosting in the client area: when the status is Active, the cPanel button signs you straight in. Point your domain using the nameservers or A records on the account's Overview tab, then install your site, create mailboxes, and let AutoSSL issue your free certificate once the domain points to us.
1. What happens after you pay
When the invoice is paid, the order is released and the cPanel account is created on the server with its username, home folder and default settings. We measured this over 12 months of real orders: the median time from payment to account created was 31 seconds, and most accounts were ready within two minutes. A small number need a manual check and take longer. That is a measurement, not a guarantee.
What can hold an account back:
- The invoice is still unpaid, or a bank transfer has not been matched yet. Check your invoices.
- The order is being reviewed. A few orders are held for a manual check.
- The domain is not ready, for example a new .in waiting for identity verification at Identity verification.

2. Check the account status
- Sign into the client area.
- Choose Hosting › My hostingin the menu (/client/services/hosting).
- Read the status on your domain's row.

3. Find your login details
Your login details arrive by email in a message titled "Your Hosting Account is Ready". You don't need that email to get in, though:
- One click: the cPanel button on your row (or Open cPanel on the account page) opens cPanel in a new tab, already signed in.
- Details: click Manage, then the Access tab. The Login details card shows your username, server IP and panel URL, with a Reset password button to set a new cPanel password.

4. Point your domain at the hosting
If you ordered the domain and hosting together, this is set up for you. Otherwise, open the account's Overview tab and use the Point a domain to this hosting card:
- Option 1, nameservers: set the nameservers shown there on your domain. Copy them from the card rather than typing them from memory. For a domain registered with Domain India, change them on the domain's Nameservers tab; see How do I change my nameservers.
- Option 2, A records: keep your current DNS provider and point the
@andwwwrecords to the server IP shown on the card. Your email records stay where they are, so change MX records only if you also want your email on this hosting.
A nameserver change usually takes effect within a few hours and can take up to 24 to 48 hours to reach every network. Upload your site in the meantime; it goes live as soon as DNS catches up.
5. Your first hour in cPanel

New accounts run PHP 8.3 by default, and you can choose another version in MultiPHP Manager. Outgoing email is limited to 200 messages per hour per account. Jailed SSH access is available on every shared hosting plan, but it is off by default; ask support to enable it for your account.
6. If something is not working

How do I point my domain to my new hosting?
Open the hosting account's Overview tab. Either set the nameservers shown there on your domain, or keep your DNS provider and point the @ and www A records to the server IP shown.
When will my free SSL certificate be issued?
