The quickest way into cPanel is one click from your Domain India client area. You sign in to your Domain India account, click the cPanel button next to your hosting account, and cPanel opens in a new tab, already signed in, with no cPanel password needed. This guide shows where the button is, what to do when it does not appear or does not work, and when to use the direct login instead.
Sign in to the client area, open Hosting › My hosting (/client/services/hosting) and click the cPanel button on your domain's row, or click Manage and then Open cPanel. A fresh sign-in link is created each time you click, so you never type a cPanel password. The button appears only while the account is Active. If it fails, sign in directly at https://yourdomain.com:2083.
Direct login, logging in before your domain points to us, resetting the cPanel password and firewall blocks are all covered in How to log in to cPanel.
1. What one-click login is
When you click the button, the client area asks the cPanel server for a new, one-off sign-in session for your hosting account and opens it in a new tab. You are signed in to your own cPanel account only; the client area never shows you the cPanel password.
This is why it works even if you have never used, or have forgotten, the cPanel password from your welcome email.
2. Open cPanel from the client area
- Sign in to the client area.Use the sign-in page with your Domain India email and password, or Google if you signed up that way.
- Open your hosting list.Choose Hosting › My hosting, or go to /client/services/hosting. Each account shows its domain, plan and status.
- Click the cPanel buttonon the row for your domain. cPanel opens in a new tab, already signed in.
- Or open the account first.Click Manage, then Open cPanel at the top of the page. That page also shows your plan, panel, server IP and renewal date.
The button is named after your control panel. On a cPanel reseller account it reads WHM (see how to log in to WHM); other plans show DirectAdmin, Webuzo or Plesk. If the label is not cPanel, follow that panel's guide: DirectAdmin, Webuzo or Plesk.
3. When the button is missing
| What you see on the row | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Pay now instead of the cPanel button | The account's invoice is unpaid | Pay it; the button appears once the account is Active |
| Setting up or Awaiting activation | The account is still being created | Most accounts are created automatically within a couple of minutes of payment; a few need a manual check |
| Suspended | Usually an overdue renewal | Pay the renewal invoice; for any other reason, open a ticket |
| No account for your domain at all | It may be under a different Domain India account | Sign in with the other account, or open a ticket |
4. When the button does not work
- Nothing opens. cPanel opens in a new tab, so a pop-up blocker can stop it. Allow pop-ups for domainindia.com and click again.
- A cPanel login form appears instead of the dashboard. The one-click session could not be created, so the client area opened the normal login page. Sign in there with your cPanel username and password, or click the button again a minute later.
- An old tab asks you to log in again. Each link works for one sign-in. Go back to the client area and click the button again rather than reusing a bookmark of the opened page.
- A message says the control panel could not be opened. Try again in a moment. If it keeps happening, sign in directly (section 5) and open a ticket with the domain name and the exact message.
- Nothing loads at all, and your website is down from the same connection. Your IP address may be blocked by the server firewall after failed logins; see have I been blocked?.
5. Direct login as a fallback
You can always sign in without the client area:
- Go to
https://yourdomain.com:2083(orhttps://yourdomain.com/cpanel). - Enter the cPanel username and password. The username, server IP and panel URL are on the account's Access tab under Manage, and in the "Your Hosting Account is Ready" email.
- Forgotten the password? Reset it yourself from the Access tab; see reset cPanel password.
Your client-area password and your cPanel password are separate. Changing one never changes the other.
Port 2083 is the encrypted cPanel login and the one to use. If your domain does not point to Domain India yet, use the server hostname or server IP on port 2083 instead, as explained in the main login guide.
6. Keep the account safe
- Protect the client-area login. Anyone who can sign in to your Domain India account can open cPanel with one click, so turn on two-factor authentication for it.
- Turn on cPanel's own two-factor login for direct sign-ins: see two-factor authentication in cPanel.
- Give people their own access. Add a web designer as a team member in the client area instead of sharing your password.
- Never send a password to support. Domain India support will never ask for it.
Frequently asked questions
How do I log in to cPanel from my Domain India account?
Sign in to the client area, open Services, My Hosting, and click the cPanel button on your domain's row. You can also click Manage and then Open cPanel. cPanel opens in a new tab, already signed in.
Do I need my cPanel password for one-click login?
No. The client area creates a one-off sign-in session for your hosting account each time you click. You only need the cPanel username and password to sign in directly on port 2083.
Why is there no cPanel button on my hosting account?
The button appears only while the account is Active. If the row shows Pay now, the invoice is unpaid; if it shows Setting up or Awaiting activation, the account is still being created; if it shows Suspended, pay the renewal or open a ticket.
I clicked the button and got a cPanel login page. What now?
The one-click session could not be created, so the normal login page opened. Sign in with your cPanel username and password from the Access tab, or click the button again a little later. If it keeps happening, open a ticket.
Can I bookmark the page that opens?
No. Each one-click link works for one sign-in. Bookmark the client area's My Hosting page, or use https://yourdomain.com:2083 for direct logins.
My button says WHM or DirectAdmin instead of cPanel. Why?
The button is named after your control panel. A cPanel reseller account opens WHM, and DirectAdmin, Webuzo and Plesk plans show their own panel names.
Ready to go in? Open your hosting list and click the cPanel button. If it will not open, read How to log in to cPanel, then open a support ticket with your domain and the exact message you see.
Click the cPanel button on your domain's row to go straight in, no cPanel password needed.
