Domain India gives a full refund on new shared and reseller hosting purchases within 30 days. Most other services, including renewals, domains and VPS servers once they are set up, are not refundable. This guide explains what the refund policy covers, how to ask for a refund, and what happens after you do.

Key takeaways

A new shared or reseller hosting purchase can be refunded in full within 30 days of purchase. Hosting renewals, domain registrations and renewals, SSL certificates, add-on services and setup fees are non-refundable, and VPS and dedicated servers are non-refundable once provisioned. To ask for a refund, open a support ticket within the eligible period. Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days and go back to the original payment method only.

1. What can be refunded

This is the refund table from the Domain India refund policy, last updated March 2026:

ServiceRefundable?PeriodNote
Shared hosting (new purchase)Yes30 days from purchaseFull refund
Reseller hosting (new purchase)Yes30 days from purchaseFull refund
Hosting renewalNoNot applicableNon-refundable
VPS hostingNoNot applicableNon-refundable after provisioning
Dedicated serversNoNot applicableNon-refundable after provisioning
Domain registrationNoNot applicableNon-refundable after registration
Domain renewalNoNot applicableNon-refundable once renewed
SSL certificatesNoNot applicableNon-refundable after issuance
Add-on servicesNoNot applicableNon-refundable

Shared hosting means our cPanel, DirectAdmin, Webuzo and Windows (Plesk) shared plans. If the service you bought is not in the table, ask in your ticket before you rely on a refund.

2. The rules behind the table

The policy adds these clarifications:

  • New purchases only. The 30-day hosting refund applies to a new purchase, not to renewals. Renewal payments are non-refundable.
  • Servers are final once provisioned. VPS and dedicated servers are non-refundable once provisioned, regardless of usage.
  • Account balances and credits. Unused account balances and credits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Account credits expire when the account is terminated.
  • Promotions. Promotional or discounted services may have different refund terms, as stated at the time of purchase.
  • No proration. Partial month usage is not prorated.
Domains are never refundable once registered

A domain is registered at the registry the moment the order goes through, and that can't be reversed. If you change your mind before paying, cancel the order or leave the invoice unpaid instead. See are fees for domains refundable and I want to cancel my domain name order.

3. When a refund is not available

The policy excludes refunds in these cases:

  • services terminated for a breach of the Terms of Service or the Acceptable Use Policy;
  • chargebacks or payment disputes, which void refund eligibility;
  • setup fees, if any;
  • services already consumed, or partly used beyond the eligible refund period.
Talk to us before you raise a chargeback

Under the refund policy, a chargeback or payment dispute voids refund eligibility. If you think you were charged wrongly, open a Billing ticket first with the invoice number, so we can look at it.

4. How to request a refund

Refunds are requested through a support ticket, within the eligible period.

  1. Check your eligibility.
    Make sure the service is a new shared or reseller hosting purchase and that you are still within 30 days of buying it.
  2. Take a backup if you need your data.
    A refund ends the service, so download any files, databases or email you want to keep first. See backing up with JetBackup.
  3. Open a ticket.
    Log in and open a new ticket at /client/support/new, or use the support ticket form. Choose the Billing department.
  4. Give the details.
    Include the service or domain name, the invoice number and a short reason. Say clearly that you are requesting a refund.
  5. Wait for our reply.
    The billing team checks the request against the policy and replies on the ticket. You can follow it on the ticket tracking page.
Open New Ticket form: Subject, Priority, Department, Issue Type and Message fields, Attach Files for up to 5 files of 10MB, and Submit Ticket
Open New Ticket: choose the department before you submit

Support is available by 24/7 live chat, and tickets get a first response within 15 minutes; the refund itself takes longer, as described below. There is no phone support.

5. What happens after approval

  • Processing time. Refund requests are processed within 7–10 business days.
  • Where the money goes. Refunds are issued to the original payment method only, not to account credit or a different account.
  • Questions on the way. Reply on the same ticket if you need an update, so the whole history stays in one place.

6. Avoid paying for something you don't want

Renewal payments can't be refunded, so decide before you pay. Domain India never charges a saved card automatically: a renewal invoice is emailed up to 30 days before the due date, and the service renews only when you pay it. If you don't want to keep a service, decline the renewal in the client area or simply leave the invoice unpaid. See how auto-renewal works and managing renewals.
