There is no saved payment method to add or change on your Domain India account. You choose how to pay each time you pay an invoice: open the invoice, click Pay Now, and pick UPI, net banking, a card, PayPal or bank transfer on the page that opens. Nothing is stored for next time, and nothing is charged automatically.
Every payment option and what to do when a payment fails are covered in payment methods at Domain India and how to pay via UPI, net banking or card.
Domain India does not keep a card or bank account on file, so there is nothing to add, update or remove. To "change" your payment method, simply choose a different option the next time you click Pay Now on an invoice. Renewals work the same way: a renewal invoice is generated up to 30 days before the due date, and the service renews only when you pay it. Your billing address and GSTIN, which do appear on invoices, are edited under Billing settings.
1. How paying works
- Open the invoice.Sign in and go to Invoices. Unpaid invoices show Payment Due, or Payment Overdue after the due date.
- Click Pay Now.The Select Payment Method page lists the options available for that payment.
- Choose any option.Pick whichever suits you this time; your choice last time makes no difference.
- Accept the terms and pay.Finish in the gateway's window or your bank's page. Once the payment is confirmed, the invoice shows Payment Received.
2. The options you can choose from
| Option | How you can pay |
|---|---|
| Razorpay | UPI, debit and credit cards, net banking, wallets |
| Atom Pay | Net banking, UPI, Indian cards |
| Stripe | Credit and debit cards |
| PayPal | Your PayPal balance or a linked card |
| Bank Transfer | NEFT, RTGS or IMPS, checked by our team by hand |
The payment page shows the options available when you pay. Which card types and wallets work depends on the gateway and your bank.
3. What you can change on your account
- Billing address. Edit it under Billing settings. The page notes that changes apply to your next invoice.
- GSTIN. Add or correct it under GST information on your Profile or in Billing settings, before you pay, so it is printed on your tax invoice. See adding GSTIN to your account.
Because no card is stored with Domain India, you don't need to update anything here when a card expires, is replaced or is blocked. Just pay the next invoice with the new card or another option. Card, UPI and bank details are entered only on the gateway's or your bank's own page.
4. Don't miss a renewal
With no automatic charge, a renewal happens only when you pay its invoice. Renewal invoices are generated up to 30 days before the due date and emailed to you. To stay on top of them, keep your account email current, check Invoices for anything showing Payment Due, and pay before the due date. See how auto-renewal works.
If a payment fails, don't pay a second time straight away. Check whether money left your account; if it did and the invoice still shows Payment Due after about an hour, open a ticket with the invoice number and the transaction reference. See what to do if your payment isn't showing.
How do I add or change my payment method at Domain India?
You don't need to. Domain India does not store a payment method on your account. You choose UPI, net banking, a card, PayPal or bank transfer each time you click Pay Now on an invoice, so to use a different method, just pick it next time.
Does Domain India save my card or charge it automatically?
No. No card is kept on file and nothing is charged automatically. A renewal invoice is generated up to 30 days before the due date, and the service renews only when you pay it.
My card expired. Do I need to update it in the client area?
No. Because no card is stored, there is nothing to update. Pay your next invoice with the new card or any other option on the payment page.
Can I set up auto-pay or UPI AutoPay for renewals?
Not at present. Each invoice is paid by you, from the invoice page. Pay renewal invoices before their due date to keep your services running.
Where do I change the billing address or GSTIN on my invoices?
Edit the billing address under Billing settings, and the GSTIN under GST information on your Profile or in Billing settings. Make the change before you pay, because the tax invoice uses the details on your account at that time.
Ready to pay? Open your invoices and choose any option on the payment page, or open a support ticket if a payment needs checking. Live chat is available 24/7, and there is no phone support.
