You can sign in to the Domain India client area with your Google account instead of typing a password. Google checks who you are and tells us your verified email address; your Google password is never shared with Domain India. This guide explains how Google sign-in works, what happens the first time you use it, and how to turn it off.
On the client area login page, click Sign in with Google and choose your Google account. If a Domain India account already uses the same email, Google is linked to it automatically; if not, a new account is created with your Google name and email. You can switch Google sign-in off for your account on the Profile page under Security. An account created with Google has no password until you set one with Forgot password.
1. How Google sign-in works
Google sign-in uses the OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect standards:
- You click Sign in with Google and are sent to Google.
- You choose an account and, if Google asks, confirm that Domain India may see your name, email address and profile picture.
- Google sends you back with proof of your identity and your email address.
- Domain India signs you in to the account with that email address.
Domain India only accepts Google accounts whose email address Google has verified. Your Google password stays with Google.
2. Sign in with Google
- Open the login page.Go to domainindia.com/client/login.
- Click Sign in with Google.It is below the email and password form.
- Choose your Google account.Google shows an account chooser; pick the account whose email matches your Domain India account.
- Approve if asked.The first time, Google may ask you to confirm sharing your name, email and profile picture.
- You're in.You land in the client area, or on the page you were trying to open.
On the registration page, the same option is labelled Continue with Google.
3. What happens the first time

The email match ignores capital letters, so [email protected] and [email protected] are the same account.
If your Domain India account uses an email that is not your Google address, signing in with Google creates a new, empty account; your services stay on the original one. Sign in with your email and password instead. If you want to use Google in future, ask support about changing the email on your account.
4. Accounts created with Google have no password
If your account was created through Google, it has no password yet. That matters when you want to:
- sign in with email and password, for example on a device where you are not signed in to Google;
- change your password, which asks for your current one;
- turn on two-factor authentication, which also asks for your password.
To set a password, open the login page, click Forgot password (or go straight to the password reset page), enter your email and follow the link we send.
5. Keep your account secure
Google sign-in is only as safe as your Google account. Anyone who can sign in to your Google account can sign in to your Domain India account through Google.
Turn on 2-Step Verification in your Google account and keep your recovery email and phone up to date. If you want every sign-in to go through your Domain India password and two-factor code instead, switch Google sign-in off as shown in section 6.

6. Turn Google sign-in off (or back on)
- Sign into the client area.
- Open Profile.Go to your profile.
- Find the Security card.Next to Change password and Two-factor authentication is a Google sign-in switch.
- Switch it off.Google sign-in is refused for your account from then on. Switch it on again at any time.
Before you switch it off, make sure your account has a password (section 4), or you won't be able to sign in.
Turning the switch off doesn't remove Domain India from your Google account's list of connected apps. To remove it there too, open your Google Account's security settings and manage third-party connections.
7. Troubleshooting

If you use a Google Workspace address, your organisation's administrator can block sign-in to outside apps. Ask them to allow it, or sign in with your email and password.

Can I sign in to Domain India with my Google account?
Yes. Click Sign in with Google on the client area login page and choose your Google account. If a Domain India account uses the same email, you are signed in to it.
Does Domain India see my Google password?
No. Google handles the password and sends Domain India only your verified email address, name and profile picture.
What if I don't have a Domain India account yet?
Signing in with Google creates a new account using your Google name and email, already marked as verified.
I signed up with Google. How do I set a password?
Use Forgot password on the login page, enter your email and follow the reset link. You need a password to sign in without Google, change your password or turn on two-factor authentication.
How do I stop Google sign-in for my account?
Open Profile in the client area and switch off Google sign-in in the Security card. Make sure your account has a password first.
My Google email is different from my Domain India email. What happens?
Google sign-in matches accounts by email, so a different Google address creates a new, separate account. Sign in with your email and password instead, or ask support about changing your account email.
