Ordering hosting from Domain India takes a few minutes in the client area: you choose the type of hosting, attach a domain, pick a plan and billing cycle, and pay. This guide walks through each step of the order, helps you choose the right kind of hosting first, and explains what happens after you pay.
Sign in and open Order New (/client/order). The order runs Service → Domain → Plan → Nameservers → Review: choose the hosting type, then Register new, Transfer or Use existing for the domain, then the plan and billing cycle (Monthly, 1 Year, 2 Years or 3 Years). Check the total on Review and click Proceed to Payment. Most hosting accounts are created automatically within a couple of minutes of payment. There is no coupon field.
1. Choose the right kind of hosting
Decide which product fits before you open the order form. Domain India list prices on 19 September 2026, excluding 18% GST, for the smallest plan of each type:
| Hosting type | Best for | From |
|---|---|---|
| cPanel hosting | Most websites, WordPress and business email on your own domain | ₹125 a month |
| DirectAdmin hosting | The same kind of sites on a lighter control panel | ₹100 a month |
| Webuzo hosting | Simple sites on the Webuzo panel | ₹100 a month |
| Windows (Plesk) hosting | ASP.NET applications and MSSQL databases | ₹165 a month |
| App Platform | Node.js apps, and other apps packaged with a Dockerfile | ₹100 a month |
| VPS | A self-managed server of your own, with root access | ₹553 a month |
If you are unsure, start with the smallest plan that fits your site today. You can move to a bigger plan later; see upgrading your hosting package. The product pages list what each plan includes: cPanel, DirectAdmin, Webuzo, Windows, App Platform and VPS. Web designers and agencies hosting sites for clients should look at reseller hosting.
2. Before you start
- Create your account at /register if you don't have one, or sign in. You can sign up with your email or with Google.
- Complete your profile. Your name, phone and full postal address are used on invoices. If anything required is missing, checkout asks you to complete your profile before payment.
- Know your domain. Decide whether you are registering a new domain, transferring one in, or using one you already own elsewhere.
3. Place the order, step by step
- Open Order New.In the client area, open Order New (/client/order), or click through from a plan on a hosting page.
- Service.Choose the type of hosting from the categories shown.
- Domain.Choose Register new to search for and buy a domain in the same order, Transfer to move a domain you own from another registrar (the transfer price includes a one-year extension), or Use existing to attach a domain you already have.
- Plan.Pick the plan and the billing cycle: Monthly, 1 Year, 2 Years or 3 Years. Longer cycles show their saving on the page.
- Nameservers. For a new or transferred domain, keep Use our nameservers (recommended for most customers), or choose Use my own nameservers if your DNS is hosted elsewhere. This step is skipped when you choose Use existing.
- Review.Check the service, domain, plan, billing cycle and total. For a new domain, the review also shows the contact that becomes the domain's registrant.
- Pay.Click Proceed to Payment and complete the payment.
There is no coupon or promo code field. The prices on the order form are the prices you pay, plus 18% GST.
Choose Use existing at the Domain step and type the domain without www or https://. After payment, point the domain at the new hosting. The full walkthrough is ordering hosting without a domain name.
4. Paying for the order
Your order creates an invoice, and you pay it from the payment page. Online payments are usually marked paid within a couple of minutes. You can see the invoice and its status any time under Invoices.
If you register a .in domain in the same order, the order page shows a NIXI compliance notice: .in domains may need identity verification (eKYC) after checkout. You complete it at /client/kyc, through DigiLocker.
5. What happens after you pay
Most hosting accounts are created automatically within a couple of minutes of payment. A small number need a manual check and take longer, for example while a payment is still clearing, when the domain isn't pointing to us yet, or when an order is flagged for review.
When the account is ready:
- you receive a welcome email, "Your Hosting Account is Ready", with your login details;
- the service appears under My hosting. Open it and choose Manage. The Access tab shows your username, server IP and panel address, with a button to reset the control panel password;
- the Point a domain to this hosting card shows the nameservers or server IP to use.
If the welcome email doesn't arrive, see I didn't get my welcome email. Emails that carry login details are not kept in Email history, so use the service page instead.
6. Point the domain and go live
- Domain registered with Domain India: compare its Nameservers tab with the values on the hosting service page, and change them there if they differ.
- Domain registered elsewhere: copy the nameservers or server IP from the service page, then change them at that registrar.
Both are explained in how to change your nameservers.
A nameserver change usually takes effect within a few hours and can take up to 24-48 hours to reach every network. Once the domain points to your hosting, you can have free SSL: it is automatic on cPanel, and on DirectAdmin and Plesk you request the free Let's Encrypt certificate once in the panel. Then log in to your control panel and upload or install your site.
7. If something doesn't look right
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| The service still shows as pending well after payment | Check the invoice shows Payment Received, then open a ticket with the invoice number |
| Checkout sends you to complete your profile | Fill in the missing details, then continue with the order |
| The website doesn't load on the new hosting | Check the domain uses the nameservers or IP from the service page, and allow time for DNS to update |
| You chose the wrong plan | Ask support; you can also upgrade later from the client area |
New shared hosting purchases can be refunded in full within 30 days, as set out in the refund policy. Renewals, domains and VPS servers once set up are not refundable.
