Domain Transfer Guide
Transfer your domain to {{COMPANY_NAME}} for centralised management, competitive renewal pricing, and integrated hosting and domain control.
Before You Begin
Ensure the following before starting a transfer:
- Your domain is unlocked at your current registrar
- You have the EPP/Auth Code (also called Transfer Key or Authorization Code) from your current registrar
- Your domain was registered or last transferred more than 60 days ago (ICANN 60-day lock policy)
- Your domain is not expired or within 15 days of expiry
- Your registrant email is valid and accessible — you will receive a confirmation email
How to Transfer a Domain to {{COMPANY_NAME}}
- Log in to your {{COMPANY_NAME}} client area
- Go to Domains → Transfer a Domain
- Enter the domain name you want to transfer
- Enter the EPP/Auth Code provided by your current registrar
- Review the transfer pricing — transfers include a 1-year renewal extension
- Complete payment
- You will receive a transfer confirmation email — approve it to proceed
- The transfer typically completes within 5–7 days (may be faster if approved quickly)
Transfer Pricing
- Domain transfers include a 1-year extension added to your current expiry date
- For example, if your domain expires on 15 Jan 2027 and you transfer today, the new expiry will be 15 Jan 2028
- Transfer pricing varies by TLD — check the {{COMPANY_NAME}} website for current prices
Transferring a Domain Away from {{COMPANY_NAME}}
- Log in to your {{COMPANY_NAME}} client area
- Go to My Domains and click on the domain
- Unlock the domain (disable Registrar Lock)
- Copy the EPP/Auth Code from the domain details page
- Provide the code to your new registrar and initiate the transfer there
- Approve the transfer confirmation email
- The transfer completes within 5–7 days
Important Notes
- DNS settings are not transferred — update your nameservers at the new registrar after transfer
- Email services tied to your domain may be affected — plan for DNS changes in advance
