How to Access Webmail (Roundcube)
Webmail allows you to access your email from any web browser without installing an email client. Domain India provides Roundcube as the default webmail application. This guide shows you how to access and log in.
Ways to Access Webmail
Method 1: Direct URL Access
Open your web browser and go to:
https://mail.yourdomain.com or https://yourdomain.com/webmail
Replace "yourdomain.com" with your actual domain name.
Method 2: Via cPanel
- Log in to your cPanel account.
- In the Email section, click Email Accounts.
- Find the email account you want to access.
- Click the Check Email button next to the account.
- Select Roundcube from the webmail application list.
- You will be logged in automatically (SSO -- Single Sign-On).
Method 3: Via DirectAdmin
- Log in to your DirectAdmin account.
- Go to E-Mail Accounts under the E-Mail Manager section.
- Click on the email account.
- Click the Webmail link or access it via the Roundcube option.
- You will be logged in automatically.
Logging In
When accessing webmail via the direct URL, you will see a login page:
- Username: Enter your full email address (e.g., [email protected])
- Password: Enter your email password
- Click Login
Tip: Bookmark the webmail URL for quick access in the future. You can also add it as a shortcut on your phone's home screen for mobile access.
First-Time Setup
After your first login, consider these initial settings:
- Set your display name: Go to Settings > Identities and update your name and organization.
- Create a signature: Add a professional email signature (see our signature guide).
- Set language and timezone: Go to Settings > Preferences > User Interface to set your preferred language and time zone.
- Check folder subscriptions: Go to Settings > Folders to manage which folders appear in the sidebar.
Roundcube Interface Overview
The Roundcube interface has three main areas:
- Left sidebar: Your email folders (Inbox, Drafts, Sent, Junk, Trash, and custom folders)
- Message list: Shows emails in the selected folder
- Reading pane: Displays the content of the selected email (can be positioned below or to the right)

Mobile Access
Roundcube has a responsive design that works on mobile browsers. Simply visit the webmail URL on your phone or tablet browser. However, for the best mobile experience, we recommend setting up a native email app:
Troubleshooting
"Login failed" error:
- Verify your email address and password are correct
- Clear your browser cache and cookies
- Try a different browser or incognito/private window
- Reset your password in the control panel if needed
Webmail page not loading:
- Check that your domain's DNS is pointing to the correct server
- Try accessing via the control panel SSO method instead
- Clear your browser cache
Session expired frequently:
- This is normal after a period of inactivity
- Check Settings > Preferences > User Interface > Refresh to adjust the auto-refresh interval
