Changing Nameservers
What Are Nameservers?
Nameservers tell the internet where your website is hosted. Changing them points your domain to a different hosting provider.
How to Change
- Go to My Services > Domains > [domain]
- Click the Nameservers tab
- Replace existing nameservers with new ones
- Click Save
Finding Your Hosting Nameservers
Go to My Services > Hosting > [hosting] and look for the "Point Your Domain" section. Your nameservers are listed there.
Propagation
After changing nameservers, it takes 1-48 hours for the change to propagate worldwide. During this time, your website may be intermittently available.
Common Nameserver Formats
- ns1.example.com / ns2.example.com
- Usually provided as a pair (minimum 2 required)
