Use the AI Website Builder with ChatGPT, Claude and Other AI Assistants

You can connect an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude to your Domain India account and ask it about your AI Website Builder websites in plain language. This guide covers how to connect, what the assistant can see today, what it cannot do, and how you stay in control.

1. What this is

The AI Website Builder already has its own AI inside the client area. This is something different: connecting an outside AI assistant to your account, so you can ask about your websites from the assistant you already use.

• You stay in control. Every connection asks for your permission first, one line for each permission, and nothing is shared until you click Allow.
• You can disconnect any app at any time, and it stops working at once.
• An app gets only the permissions you allowed, and nothing on anyone else's account.

2. How to connect

In Claude Code, the command is:

claude mcp add --transport http domainindia https://domainindia.com/mcp

Then run /mcp and choose Authenticate.

3. The permission you will see

When you connect, the consent screen lists each permission on its own line. For the website builder, the permission available today is:

If you later want to give an app a permission it does not have, connect it again and allow the new permission, then disconnect the older connection.

4. What the assistant can see

With See your websites and their previews allowed, the assistant can:

• List your websites, each with its status (draft or published), its address and its custom domain.
• Show one website's details: its template, colours and headline, which sections have content, and when it was last changed and last published.
• Show your plan usage: the plan name, how many websites you have used of the number allowed, and your AI use in the last 30 days (edits, images and logo sets).
• List saved versions: up to 25, newest first, with how each one came about.
• Check your custom domain: whether it is pointing at the website right now.

5. What an AI app cannot do

On Domain India today, an AI app can only look. It cannot:

• create a website, or edit its text, photos, design or settings;
• publish a website or take it offline;
• connect or remove a domain;
• read visitor numbers, or the messages visitors send through your contact form;
• delete a website;
• change payment settings, change or cancel a plan, or pay for anything;
• see or change anything on another customer's account.

6. Is it safe?

• Permission first. An app can do nothing until you have signed in and clicked Allow, and it gets only the permissions listed on that screen.
• Read-only today. The website builder permission lets an app look at your websites; it cannot change them.
• Disconnect at any time. Open Account › Connected apps in the client area (/client/security/connected-apps) to see every connected app and remove any of them. Disconnecting stops the app at once.
• Your password is never shared. You sign in on Domain India's own page; the AI app never sees your password.

If something looks wrong, disconnect the app first, then open a support ticket. Support is by 24/7 live chat and tickets; there is no phone support.
