Until you publish, your AI website is a private draft. Only you can see it, while you are logged in, and it stays hidden from visitors and search engines. This short guide explains how the private preview works, why you should not share its link, and how to publish when you want others to see your site.
A site that is not published is private: anyone who opens its address sees "This site is not published yet". You see your draft in the editor's preview while you are logged in. The preview link works for at most 15 minutes, so don't share it. To show your site to customers, friends or a designer, publish it on a paid plan.
New to the builder? Watch the 4-minute tutorial: write a business brief, check the first draft, make an edit by AI chat and see the finished site on desktop and mobile.
How the private preview works
- Only you can see your draft. Open it from the editor or your AI Website Builder dashboard while you are logged in. The editor shows: "Your site is saved. Only you can see its free preview while you are signed in; publish to put it online."
- Everyone else sees a holding page. Anyone who opens your site's address before you publish sees "This site is not published yet".
- The preview link expires. The preview opens on a private link that stops working after 15 minutes. The editor renews it for you while you work, so you don't need to do anything.
- Search engines are kept out. The draft carries a preview banner and is not shown to search engines until you publish.
A preview link is meant for you. It stops working within 15 minutes, so anyone you send it to will soon see "This site is not published yet". To show your site to someone else, publish it.
Publish to show your site to others
- Click Publishin the editor.
- On the free trial, choose a plan.A window opens: "Your website is ready — take it live". Pick Starter, Pro or Business and pay. Your site publishes as soon as the plan is active. Plans start at ₹200 a month, excluding GST.
- On a paid plan, check before you go live. The first time you publish, a Before you go live window lists details to check, such as your phone number, email and example content the AI wrote. Choose Keep editing to fix them, or Publish now.
- Your site is live. The editor says "Published! Your site is live at" followed by your site's address, and the preview banner disappears.
After that, your edits wait in the draft until you click Republish. See Update your live website and Publish your website.
Previews from ChatGPT or Claude
If you build your site through ChatGPT, Claude or another connected AI assistant, the preview link it gives you is private in the same way: it works for about 15 minutes and is for you only. See Use the AI Website Builder with ChatGPT and Claude.
