Every hosting account you buy from Domain India appears in the client area under Hosting › My hosting, with a status that tells you whether it is running, waiting for payment or stopped. Domains have their own list under Domains › My domains. This page explains what each hosting status means and what to do about it.

Key takeaways

Sign in and open Hosting › My hosting. Active means the account is running and the control panel button works. Pending means it is waiting for payment (a Pay now button appears) or is still being set up. Suspended usually means a renewal invoice is unpaid. Accounts that have ended show as Cancelled or Terminated. Domain India never charges a card automatically; every renewal is an invoice you pay.

For the full client-area guide

Every menu, tab and setting in the client area is covered in A complete guide to managing your account in the Domain India client area.

The My Hosting page lists each account with its Domain, Plan, Status, Next due date and Billing period. Summary cards at the top count your total, active and pending accounts. Use the search box, or the status filter (Active, Pending, Suspended), to narrow a long list.

2. What each status means

StatusWhat it meansWhat to do
ActiveThe account is running. The control panel button and Manage link are shownNothing. Click the panel button to open cPanel, DirectAdmin, Webuzo or Plesk
PendingThe order is waiting for payment, or is being set up after paymentIf Pay now appears, pay the invoice. If it says Setting up, wait and refresh
SuspendedThe account is stopped, usually because a renewal invoice is unpaidPay the overdue invoice under Billing › Invoices. If it stays suspended, open a ticket
Cancelled or TerminatedThe service has endedOrder a new service if you need one. Deleted data cannot be recovered

Most hosting accounts are created automatically within a couple of minutes of payment; a small number need a manual check and take longer. If a paid account still shows Pending after that, open a ticket with the invoice number.

3. Why a service gets suspended

  • An unpaid renewal invoice. A renewal invoice is generated up to 30 days before the due date and emailed to you. If it is still unpaid, the hosting account is suspended about a week after the due date and can be deleted after that. See how to renew your services.
  • A policy or abuse problem, such as spam or malware. Support will tell you on a ticket what needs fixing.

After you pay, the account is reactivated. If your site or email is still down a little while after payment, open a ticket with the invoice number.

Suspended is not the same as deleted

A suspended account still has your files, databases and email, but a hosting account left unpaid is deleted later, and deleted data cannot be restored. Pay or ask support promptly.

4. Stopping a service you no longer want

There is no immediate cancel button. To let a hosting plan or domain end at the end of its term, open Renewals and choose Don't renew; the item is marked Off — you declined, and Turn renewal back on reverses it. To stop a service today or ask for a refund, open a ticket. The full guide is how to cancel a service.

Where can I see all my hosting services at Domain India?

Sign in to the client area and open Hosting, My hosting. Each account shows its domain, plan, status, next due date and billing period. Domains are listed separately under Domains, My domains.

What does Pending mean on my hosting account?

The order is waiting for payment or is still being set up. If a Pay now button appears, pay the invoice. Most accounts are created automatically within a couple of minutes of payment; if a paid account stays pending, open a ticket.

Why is my hosting account suspended?

Usually because a renewal invoice is unpaid. Pay it under Billing, Invoices. If the account is suspended for another reason, support explains it on a ticket.

Does Domain India renew my services automatically from my card?

No. Domain India never charges a saved card. A renewal invoice is emailed before the due date, and the service renews only when you pay it.

How do I cancel a service?

Open Renewals in the client area and choose Don't renew, and the service ends at the end of its term. For an immediate cancellation or a refund, open a support ticket.

Ready to check your services? Open your hosting list, see what is due on Renewals, or open a ticket if a status looks wrong. Support is on 24/7 live chat, and tickets get a first response within 15 minutes.
