When you open a support ticket with Domain India, the form asks you to choose a priority. This page explains what each level means, what it changes and what it does not, and how quickly you can expect an answer. In short: every ticket gets a first response within 15 minutes, whatever priority you pick.

Key takeaways

Domain India support runs on 24/7 live chat and support tickets, and every ticket gets a first response within 15 minutes. The priority you choose (Low, Medium or High, plus Urgent on the public form) tells the team how serious the impact is; it does not buy a faster first reply. How long a full fix takes depends on the issue. There is no phone support.

The full guide to response times

This page covers ticket priority. For everything about response times, channels and how to get the fastest answer, see Support Response Times. For how tickets work end to end, see What is a support ticket system.

1. The priority levels on the ticket form

There are two ticket forms, and both have a Priority field.

PriorityWhere you can choose itUse it for
LowClient area and public formGeneral questions, how-to questions, account or billing enquiries
MediumClient area and public formA problem that is not critical, or has a workaround
HighClient area and public formA service is affected: part of your website, email or a domain is not working
UrgentPublic form onlyA service is completely down

If your website or email is completely down and you are using the client-area form, choose High and say "site down" or "email down" plainly in the subject line.

2. What priority changes, and what it does not

Priority describes impact. It helps the team see at a glance which tickets are about a service that is down, so they stand out when they matter.

It does not change the first-response commitment. Every ticket, at every priority, gets a first response within 15 minutes. It also does not set a deadline for the fix: that depends on what the problem is.

Choose the priority honestly

Keep High and Urgent for real outages. If every ticket is marked urgent, the real emergencies are harder to spot. A clear subject line such as "example.in shows 500 error on every page" does more for your ticket than any priority setting.

3. First response is not the same as resolution

The first response is the first reply on your ticket. Some problems are solved in that reply. Others take longer, for example when:

  • the team needs information from you, such as the exact error or the affected email address;
  • the fix depends on a third party, such as a domain registry, a transfer or DNS changes reaching every network;
  • the job itself takes time, such as restoring a large backup;
  • a payment is still clearing.

Domain India does not publish a fixed resolution time for any priority, because the work behind two tickets can be very different. You can follow progress on the ticket at any time.

4. How to get the fastest fix

Whatever priority you choose, these make the biggest difference:

Name the domain
Put the domain name or service in the subject line.
Quote the exact error
Copy the error word for word, or attach a screenshot.
Say what you tried
Cleared the cache, tried another network, changed a setting.
One issue per ticket
Separate problems go to the right person faster in separate tickets.

Pick the department that fits too, for example Technical Support for a website or email problem and Billing for invoices and payments.

Never send a password

Do not put a password, a private key or card details in a ticket or chat. Domain India support will never ask for them.

5. Following up on a ticket

Reply on the same ticket with new details instead of opening a second one; a duplicate splits the history and can slow things down. If you feel your ticket is stuck, reply on it and ask for it to be escalated.

  • Logged in: your tickets and their replies are under Support in the client area.
  • Not logged in: check a ticket's status at /support/ticket/track with your ticket number and email address.

For a quick question, 24/7 live chat on any page of the website is often faster than a ticket.

Frequently asked questions

Does choosing High or Urgent priority get me a faster reply?

No. Every Domain India support ticket gets a first response within 15 minutes, whatever priority you choose. Priority tells the team how serious the impact is, so outages stand out.

Which priority levels can I choose on a Domain India ticket?

The client-area ticket form offers Low, Medium and High. The public ticket form at domainindia.com/support/ticket also offers Urgent, for a service that is completely down.

How long will it take to fix my issue?

It depends on the issue. The first reply comes within 15 minutes; a fix can take longer when it needs information from you, a domain registry, DNS changes to spread, a payment to clear or a long job such as a restore.

Is Domain India support available 24/7?

Yes. Live chat is available 24/7 on every page of the website, and support tickets can be opened at any time. There is no phone support.

What should I do if my ticket is not progressing?

Reply on the same ticket with any new details and ask for it to be escalated. Do not open a duplicate ticket for the same problem.
