Which channel to use, and when, is in Support channels: live chat and tickets. How tickets work, what to write and how to follow one up is in What is a support ticket system.
Signed in, go to /client/support/new; not signed in, use /support/ticket. Pick the department (Technical Support, Billing, Sales or General Inquiry), write a subject that names the domain and the problem, paste the exact error and attach screenshots. Tickets get a first response within 15 minutes, and live chat is open 24/7. There is no phone support, and a ticket, not an email, is the way to reach us.
1. Submit a ticket from the client area
This is the best route for customers, because the ticket is linked to your account and you can pick the service it is about.
- Sign in.Go to the client area and sign in with the email address on your account.
- Open a new ticket.Go to Support and choose Open New Ticket, or go straight to /client/support/new.
- Fill in the form.Add a subject, choose the priority, department and issue type, and write your message. Under Related Service, pick the hosting account or domain the problem is about.
- Attach files.Add up to 5 files of 10 MB each (JPG, PNG, GIF, PDF or TXT), such as a screenshot of the error.
- Submit.Click Submit Ticket. The ticket appears in your support list with its number.
2. Submit a ticket without signing in
If you can't sign in, or you aren't a customer yet, use the public Submit a Ticket form. Enter your name and email address, choose a department and priority, write your subject and message, and attach up to 3 files of 10 MB each. You may need to complete a CAPTCHA. The page then shows your ticket reference, and a confirmation goes to the email address you entered.
3. Department and priority
| Department | Choose it for |
|---|---|
| Technical Support | Website, server, hosting, email or DNS problems |
| Billing | Payments, invoices and refunds |
| Sales | Questions before you buy, new orders and upgrades |
| General Inquiry | General questions and feedback |
Priority should match the real impact: Low for general questions, Medium for non-critical issues and High when a service is affected. The public form also offers Urgent, for a service that is down. For a site or server that is completely down, start a live chat straight away as well.
4. What to write
Most slow tickets are slow because the first reply has to ask for a missing detail. Include:
- The domain or service, for example example.in or [email protected].
- What happened and when, including the date and approximate time.
- The exact error, copied word for word, or the bounce message for email problems.
- What you already tried, such as another browser, clearing the cache or restoring a backup.
- Your public IP address if you can't reach your site, email or control panel at all.
One problem per ticket works best. If you have more to add later, reply on the same ticket rather than opening a new one.
Don't paste passwords for your client area, control panel, email or WordPress into a ticket or chat, and never send card numbers, CVVs or one-time codes. Domain India support will never ask for them.
5. Follow up and track your ticket
- Signed in: open the ticket from Support in the client area to read replies, answer and attach files.
- Opened without signing in: use Track Ticket with your ticket number and email address. It shows the status and replies; to add a message, reply to the email notification about your ticket.
Every ticket gets a first response within 15 minutes. How long the fix takes depends on the issue; see support response times.
