Checkout Process Step-by-Step Guide

This guide walks you through the complete Domain India checkout process, from reviewing your cart to receiving your order confirmation.

Step 1: Review Your Cart

Before proceeding to payment, review everything in your cart:

  1. Click the Cart icon or navigate to the checkout page
  2. Verify each item:

- Product/Service — Correct hosting plan or domain

- Billing Cycle — Monthly, annually, etc.

- Price — The amount for each item

  1. Remove any unwanted items by clicking the Remove button
  2. Adjust quantities or billing cycles if needed

Tip: Double-check domain names for typos before proceeding. Domain registrations cannot be changed once completed.

Step 2: Apply a Coupon Code

If you have a promotional coupon:

  1. Look for the Coupon Code or Promo Code field
  2. Enter your coupon code exactly as provided (codes are case-sensitive)
  3. Click Apply
  4. The discount will be reflected in your order total

Note: Some coupons may only apply to specific products or billing cycles. If a coupon does not apply, check the terms of the promotion.

Step 3: Confirm Contact Details

Your order requires valid contact information:

  • Name — Your full legal name or business name
  • Email — A valid email where you can receive order confirmations and invoices
  • Phone Number — A reachable phone number
  • Address — Your billing address including city, state, and PIN code
  • GST Number (optional) — If you have a GSTIN, enter it here for proper tax invoicing

Tip: If your contact details are already saved in your profile, they will be pre-filled. Update them from Account Settings if anything has changed.

Step 4: Select Payment Method

Domain India accepts payments through Razorpay, which supports:

  • UPI — Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, and any UPI app
  • Net Banking — All major Indian banks
  • Credit Card — Visa, Mastercard, American Express, RuPay
  • Debit Card — Visa, Mastercard, RuPay debit cards
  • Wallets — Select digital wallets

Click on your preferred payment method to proceed.

Step 5: Complete Payment

For UPI:

  1. Enter your UPI ID or scan the QR code
  2. Approve the payment in your UPI app
  3. Wait for confirmation (do not close the browser window)

For Net Banking:

  1. Select your bank from the list
  2. You will be redirected to your bank's secure login page
  3. Authenticate and approve the transaction
  4. You will be redirected back to Domain India

For Credit/Debit Card:

  1. Enter your card number, expiry date, and CVV
  2. Complete 3D Secure authentication if prompted
  3. Wait for the transaction to process

Tip: Do not close your browser or press the back button during payment processing. This can result in duplicate charges or failed transactions.

Step 6: Order Confirmation

After successful payment:

  1. You will see an Order Confirmation page with your order number
  2. A Proforma Invoice (PI-) will be generated immediately
  3. A Tax Invoice (INV-) will be generated once payment is verified
  4. Confirmation emails will be sent to your registered email address
  5. Your services will begin provisioning automatically

What Happens Next?

  • Hosting plans are provisioned within 1-5 minutes
  • Domain registrations complete within 1-15 minutes
  • SSL certificates are issued after DNS propagation (1-4 hours)
  • You will receive welcome emails with login credentials and setup instructions

Troubleshooting

  • Payment failed? Try a different payment method. If using UPI, ensure sufficient balance and that your UPI app is updated.
  • Amount deducted but order not confirmed? Do not attempt payment again. The amount will be auto-refunded within 5-7 business days, or contact support with the transaction reference.
  • Did not receive confirmation email? Check your spam/junk folder. Ensure your email address is correct in your profile.
  • Order stuck in Pending? This usually means payment verification is in progress. Wait 15 minutes and check your invoice status.
