The apps you add to your AI website, such as the Online Shop, Restaurant or a bookings app, are billed monthly. This guide shows how to move between Basic and Pro, what happens at renewal and if a renewal is not paid, and how to cancel an app or undo a cancel. Everything is done from the editor's Apps tab.
In the editor, open Apps and find your app under Your apps. Change plan moves you up now (you pay for the rest of the month, and the new plan starts when that invoice is paid) or down at your next renewal (no refund). Cancel shop or Cancel booking app keeps the app open until the end of the period you have paid for, and you can Undo cancel until then. After that you have 30 days to open the admin and export your data before it is deleted.
Where to find your app's plan
- Open your site in the editor from AI Website Builder in the client area.
- Click the Apps tab. Your apps lists each app on this website with its plan, monthly price and the date it renews.
- For the Online Shop or Restaurant, open Plan & billing on the shop's card. For a bookings app, the buttons are on the card itself.
Move up: Basic to Pro
Shop, Restaurant, Appointments and Courses & classes have a Basic and a Pro plan. Rooms & stays and Events & tickets have one plan, so they show "This app has one plan".
- Click Change plan. The other plan is listed with its monthly price.
- Click Move to followed by the plan's name. The window shows what you pay now: the difference for the rest of this month.
- Pay the invoice. The new plan starts as soon as it is paid. From the next renewal you pay the new monthly price.
If an invoice for a plan change is already waiting, the card shows it with a Pay it link instead.
Move down: Pro to Basic
Click Change plan, then Switch at renewal. You keep Pro until your renewal date, and Basic starts from then. There is no refund for the current month. Until the change happens, the card shows "Moving to … on …" and you can click Keep my current plan to stay on Pro.
If this app's renewal invoice is waiting to be paid, the card asks you to pay the renewal first, then change plan.
Renewal
Apps renew monthly. A renewal invoice is raised before the renewal date and appears in your client area with your other invoices. Pay it to keep the app running.
If a renewal stays unpaid, the app can be paused. Its card then shows Paused (renewal unpaid): buyers or customers cannot order or book, and the admin is read-only. Nothing is deleted, and paying the open invoice opens the app again.
Cancel an app
- On the app's card, click Cancel shop (Online Shop or Restaurant, under Plan & billing) or Cancel booking app.
- Read the message and confirm. If you have paid ahead, the app stays open until the end of that period and is not renewed; the card shows "Closes on" with the date.
- Changed your mind? Click Undo cancel any time before that date. The app stays open and renews as before.
When the app closes, buyers or customers can no longer order or book. You can still open the shop or booking admin and export your data for 30 days. After that, the app and its data are deleted.
Use Export my shop or Export my bookings in the app's admin to download your orders, customers, bookings and invoices as a zip file before the data is deleted.
Frequently asked questions
Do I get a refund if I move down from Pro to Basic?
No. The change starts at your next renewal, so you keep Pro until then. There is no refund for the current month.
When does Pro start after I upgrade?
As soon as the upgrade invoice is paid. You pay only the difference for the rest of the current month.
Can I undo a cancel?
Yes, until the date the app closes, as long as you had paid ahead. Click Undo cancel on the app's card.
What happens to my data after I cancel?
For 30 days after the app closes you can open its admin and export your data. Then the app and its data are deleted.
Can an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude change or cancel my app plan?
No. Plan changes and cancellations are done by you in the editor's Apps tab.
