A restaurant, café or cloud kitchen can put its full menu online and take orders from its AI website: dishes marked veg, non-veg or egg, add-ons such as extra toppings, takeaway and delivery orders, and dine-in orders from QR codes on your tables. The Restaurant app is the Online Shop set up for food, on the same plans, and you add it from the editor's Apps tab.
Open your site in the AI Website Builder, click the Apps tab, and choose Restaurant → Add. Pick Basic (₹299 a month) or Pro (₹699 a month), type your restaurant name, click Continue to payment and pay. Once it is set up, click Open shop admin: add your dishes under Products, choose how people order under More → Shop settings → Ways to order, and add your tables to print their QR codes. Prices exclude GST.
Before you start
- Your website needs a paid plan (Starter, Pro or Business). On the free trial, the Apps tab asks you to choose a website plan first.
- One shop per website. The Restaurant is the Online Shop app, so a website has either a Restaurant or an Online Shop, not both.
- The plans are the same as the Online Shop: Basic ₹299 a month (up to 100 menu items, 300 orders a month, 2 staff logins) or Pro ₹699 a month (up to 1,000 items, no monthly order limit, 10 staff logins). Both take UPI, cash, and your own Razorpay or Cashfree account. Details: Add an online shop to your website.
Add the Restaurant app
- Open your website.Log in, go to AI Website Builder in the client area and open your site in the editor.
- Open the Apps tab.Under Add to your website, find Restaurant and click Add. On a food business's website it is marked Suits your website.
- Choose a plan.Click Choose Basic or Choose Pro.
- Name it.Type the Restaurant name your customers will see.
- Pay.Click Continue to payment and pay the invoice that opens.
- Wait for set-up.The card in the Apps tab shows Paid, Creating app, Installing and Final checks, usually for a few minutes. When it shows Open, click Open shop admin.
Put your menu online
In the shop admin, open Products and add each dish:
- Food type: choose Veg, Non-veg or Egg. Your menu shows the matching mark.
- Add-ons: add groups such as "Crust: pick 1" or "Extra toppings: up to 2", each choice with its own price.
- Add a photo and the price, as for any product.
Choose how people order
Open More → Shop settings and find Ways to order. Turn on the ones you offer:
- Delivery to the buyer's address
- Takeaway: the buyer picks it up and chooses a time
- Dine-in: the buyer orders at a table
- "Book a table" on your site: buyers ask, you confirm under More → Table bookings
Takeaway and dine-in need no address and pay no delivery charge. Keep at least one way to order on.
Table QR codes for dine-in
- With Dine-in on, the Tables list appears in Shop settings. Add each table with the label you use, such as "5" or "Terrace 2".
- Click Download QR codes (PDF). It prints the codes, six to a page, each with the table's name.
- Put each code on its table. Customers scan it to see the menu and order.
Dine-in orders are accepted only from these QR codes, so nobody can place a prank order to "Table 5" from home.
Kitchen view
When takeaway or dine-in is on, More → Kitchen shows live orders to prepare, with a sound for each new one. Keep it open on a tablet or laptop in the kitchen.
