What is 2FA?

Two-factor authentication requires both your password and a temporary code from your phone to log in.

Setting Up 2FA

  1. Log in to your dashboard
  2. Go to ProfileSecurity
  3. Click Enable 2FA
  4. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app
  5. Enter the 6-digit code to verify
  6. Save your backup codes in a safe place
  • Google Authenticator (iOS / Android)
  • Microsoft Authenticator (iOS / Android)
  • Authy (iOS / Android / Desktop)

Using 2FA

After enabling, each login will ask for:

  1. Your email and password
  2. The 6-digit code from your authenticator app

Lost Access to 2FA?

If you lose your phone or authenticator:

  1. Use one of your backup codes to log in
  2. Contact support with identity verification to reset 2FA

cPanel 2FA

cPanel also supports 2FA separately:

  3. Scan QR code with your authenticator
  4. Enter code to activate

Tips
