If you're looking for how to add your Domain India email to the Windows Mail app, the first thing to know is that the app is gone. Microsoft retired Mail and Calendar for Windows at the end of 2024 and replaced it with the new Outlook for Windows, which is free and comes with Windows 10 and 11. This guide sets up your hosting mailbox in that app, with the settings that work on our servers.
Open Outlook (the new Outlook for Windows), go to Settings › Accounts › Email accounts › Add account, enter your full email address and choose IMAP. Use mail.yourdomain.com for incoming (port 993, SSL/TLS) and outgoing (port 465, SSL/TLS), with your full email address as the username and the mailbox password. On Windows (Plesk) hosting, port 587 is closed, so use 465.

1. What happened to Windows Mail
The old Mail app stopped working after Microsoft ended support on 31 December 2024. Opening it now sends you to the new Outlook for Windows. The new Outlook can read any IMAP mailbox, including your Domain India hosting email, so you don't need to buy anything. 2. The settings you need

The password is the one you set for the mailbox in your control panel, not your client area password.
3. Add the account in Outlook for Windows
- Open Outlook.Click Start and open Outlook (it may be labelled "Outlook (new)").
- Start adding an account.Go to Settings › Accounts › Email accounts and click Add account.
- Enter your address.Type your full email address, such as
[email protected], and continue. - Choose IMAP.If Outlook asks which provider, choose IMAP. Open the advanced or manual settings if they are offered.
- Enter the incoming server.
mail.yourdomain.com, port 993, security SSL/TLS, username your full email address, and the mailbox password. - Enter the outgoing server.
mail.yourdomain.com, port 465, security SSL/TLS, with the same username and password. - Finish.Click Continue. Send yourself a test message, then reply to it from another account.
Screens change between Outlook updates. If a label differs from the one above, look for the IMAP or advanced option; the server settings stay the same.
4. If it won't connect

The new Outlook connects to your mailbox through Microsoft's servers, so it is strict about certificates. If it reports a certificate problem, check your panel for the exact server name: on cPanel, Email Accounts › Connect Devices shows it. Can I still use the Windows Mail app with my Domain India email?
