You buy a reseller plan from Domain India, create hosting packages and accounts for your clients under your own brand, set your own prices, and we look after the server underneath. This overview helps you choose between our DirectAdmin and cPanel reseller plans and walks through the first steps with either one.
Choose DirectAdmin reseller for the lowest cost and unlimited client accounts (from ₹617 a month, excluding 18% GST), or cPanel/WHM reseller if your clients expect cPanel. After your account is created, sign in from the panel button on your reseller service in the client area, build two or three packages, create your first client account, and point the client's domain at the server. Free SSL, weekly JetBackup backups and server security are handled for every account; billing your clients and supporting them is up to you.
1. How reseller hosting works
There are three levels on a reseller server:

Your clients log in to their own control panel and pay you, not Domain India. Everything you hand out has to fit inside your reseller plan's disk and bandwidth.

3. Your first hour, step by step
- Sign in to your reseller panel.In the client area, open My Hosting and click the panel button on your reseller service's row; it opens already signed in. Your username, server IP, panel URL and a Reset password button are on the service's Manage › Access tab. Direct logins use port 2222 for DirectAdmin and port 2087 for WHM.
- Secure the login.Your reseller login controls every client account. Use a long, unique password, turn on two-factor authentication for the client area, and never share your reseller login with clients.
- Create two or three packages.A package is a named set of limits, such as Basic, Business and Pro: disk, bandwidth, domains, email accounts and databases. Leave shell (SSH) access off; jailed SSH is enabled per account on request.
- Create your first client account.Enter the client's domain, a username, their email and a strong password, and choose a package. Send the client their own login, never yours.
- Point the client's domain at the server.The domain must use your nameservers, or an A record for the server IP, before the website, email and free SSL work. See how do I change my nameservers.

If the packages you sell add up to more disk than your reseller plan has, one busy client can fill it and stop every other site from saving files or receiving mail. Keep a margin, check usage regularly, and upgrade your plan before you run out.
4. Branding: private nameservers and white label
Your clients can use nameservers under your own domain, such as ns1.yourbrand.com, so they never see our name. Private nameservers are a feature of the DirectAdmin reseller plans; ask support for the IP addresses to use before you register them, then follow setting up private nameservers. On a cPanel reseller plan, open a ticket first so we can tell you what your account supports.
5. Billing your clients
You set your prices and bill your clients yourself. Our reseller plans are WHMCS-compatible, so third-party billing software such as WHMCS or Blesta can automate invoices and account creation. No WHMCS licence is included with any reseller plan; buy one from its vendor if you want it. See setting up billing for your reseller business.
6. What runs for every client account
There are no hourly backups and no wildcard SSL certificates on any reseller plan. Outgoing mail is limited to 1,000 messages per day per account (200 per mailbox by default) on our DirectAdmin servers; for cPanel reseller accounts, ask support for your plan's limit before you sell newsletter-heavy clients.
7. Support for you and your clients
You support your own clients. Domain India supports you, with the same support every customer gets: 24/7 live chat, and tickets with a first response within 15 minutes; resolution can take longer depending on the issue. There is no phone support and no separate reseller team. Server, network and control-panel questions come to us; open a ticket at /client/support/new.

Are my clients' accounts backed up?
Yes. JetBackup 5 backs up every account weekly, on Sundays, and keeps five copies, and clients can restore or download from JetBackup in their own panel. There are no hourly backups on reseller plans.
Do resellers get a dedicated support team?

Can I use my own nameservers?
