Publishing turns your AI Website Builder preview into a real, public website that search engines can find. Building and previewing are free; publishing needs a paid plan. This guide covers what to check first, how to publish, and what happens afterwards. Prices are Domain India list prices from the live pricing card on 23 September 2026, excluding 18% GST.

Key takeaways

Check your content, then click Publish at the top of the editor, or type "publish my site" in the chat. On the free plan you're asked to choose a plan first: Starter ₹200, Pro ₹599 or Business ₹999 a month. Once published, the preview banner goes, search engines can index the site, and you can connect your own domain. After later edits, click Republish.

The free plan, as the live pricing card states it, gives you 1 site, full AI website generation, a live preview on a free link and editing by chat, with no credit card, and "upgrade anytime to publish".

2. Check before you publish

The AI writes a strong first draft, but it doesn't know your business. The editor itself warns that details like stats, reviews, prices and hours are example content. Before going live:

  • Replace example facts. Check every number, rating, price, year and opening hour.
  • Check your contact details. Phone, email, address and business hours drive the call and WhatsApp buttons and the Google map.
  • Use your own photos and logo where you can.
  • Set your SEO title and description in the Grow tab. See How to configure SEO settings.
  • Look at every page on a phone. The preview has Mobile and Tablet views.
  • Send yourself a test enquiry through the contact form once you're live.

The editor's setup checklist tracks the main steps: content generated, logo added, SEO title set, published live and custom domain.

3. How to publish

  1. Open your site.
Go to AI Website Builder in the client area and open your site.
  2. Click Publish.
The button is at the top of the editor. You can also type "publish my site" in the Chat tab; the assistant confirms before anything goes live.
  3. Choose a plan if asked.
On the free plan, a window opens with the paid plans and a billing cycle. Pick one and complete the payment. Your free preview stays online while you decide.
  4. Wait a moment.
The button shows "Publishing…", then "Live ✓", and the editor says your site is live.
  5. Share it.
Use Open live site to check it, and the share option to copy the link.

4. After publishing

Connect your own domain. The Custom domain box in the Settings tab unlocks once the site is published. Follow How to connect your domain; SSL is issued automatically.

Submit it to Google. In the Grow tab, the SEO panel now shows your sitemap URL with a Copy button and links to Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools.

Watch for enquiries. Messages from your contact form appear under Enquiries in the Grow tab, where you can reply by email or WhatsApp. Page views, top pages and traffic sources appear there too, with no setup.

Every publish is saved. The Settings tab keeps Published versions, so you can restore your live site to an earlier publish in one click.

5. Publishing changes later

After your first publish, the status next to the Publish button tells you whether your live site matches your latest edits:

  • Published · saved: the live site is up to date.
  • Published · may be out of date: you've saved edits that aren't live yet. Click Republish, or ask the chat to "publish my changes".

Some settings publish as soon as you save them, and the editor says so beside them. For example, changing the template or colour re-publishes the site. See Updating your live website for the full edit-and-republish workflow.

If your plan lapses

If a renewal invoice isn't paid, your site is parked: visitors see a short "back soon" page and editing pauses. Nothing is deleted. Pay the open invoice and everything comes back. Domain India never charges a saved card automatically; renewal invoices are emailed for you to pay.

6. When publishing doesn't work

  • "Publishing and premium actions need an active plan." Your site is on the free plan or the plan has lapsed. Choose or renew a plan from the window that opens.
  • "Publish failed" or a network error. Wait a moment and click Publish again. If it keeps failing, contact support.
  • The old version still shows. Check the status says "Published · saved", then refresh your browser or open the site in a private window.
  • Your domain doesn't open the site. The domain's DNS records aren't pointing at the site yet. See Setting up DNS for the AI Website Builder.

7. Which plan to publish on

Starter suits one business site on your own domain. Pro adds up to 5 sites, stock photos and the WhatsApp and UPI cart. Business adds up to 15 sites, the highest AI limits and AI-drafted replies to enquiries. All three are billed monthly, and the live page says you can upgrade or cancel any time.
