Yes, you can order Domain India hosting without buying a domain. If you already own one, registered with us or with another company, you order the hosting on its own, pick Use existing at the Domain step, and point the domain at the new account once it is ready. The steps are the same for DirectAdmin, cPanel and Webuzo plans.
The complete walk-through, with every step and what to check before you order, is in ordering hosting for a domain you already own. This page is the short version, with notes for DirectAdmin plans.
Log in and open Order New (/client/order). Choose the hosting service, pick Use existing at the Domain step and type your domain, choose the plan and billing cycle, then review and click Proceed to Payment. When the account is ready, open the hosting service's Point a domain to this hosting card and either change the domain's nameservers or add two A records, where the domain is registered.
1. Order the hosting on its own
- Start the order.Log in to the client area and open Order New (/client/order), or click through from a plan on the DirectAdmin hosting page.
- Service.Choose the hosting type, for example DirectAdmin hosting.
- Domain.Choose Use existing and type the domain you already own, without
wwworhttps://. The account is created for exactly that name. - Plan.Pick the plan and billing cycle.
- Review and pay.Check the plan, the domain and the total, then click Proceed to Payment.
Your domain can be registered with any company; a hosting-only order doesn't move it. Most hosting accounts are created automatically within a couple of minutes of payment; a small number need a manual check and take longer, for example while a payment is still clearing or when an order is flagged for review.

2. Point your domain at the hosting
Open Hosting → My hosting, select the new service and find the Point a domain to this hosting card.
| Option | What you change | Best when |
|---|---|---|
| Option 1: hosting nameservers | The domain's nameservers | Website and email will both live on this hosting |
| Option 2: keep your current DNS | Two A records, @ and www, to the server IP shown | Your email stays with another provider |
- Domain registered with Domain India: open Domains → My domains, select the domain, open the Nameservers tab, click Edit, enter the nameservers from the card and click Save. See how do I change my nameservers.
- Domain registered elsewhere: make the same change in that company's control panel.
Copy the values from your own card or welcome email, never from an old article: nameservers differ between servers. A change usually takes effect within a few hours and can take up to 24-48 hours everywhere.
With Option 1, the hosting's DNS answers for everything, including email. If your mailboxes are with another provider, recreate their MX, SPF and DKIM records in your control panel first, or use Option 2.
3. Notes for DirectAdmin plans
- Log in with the one-click panel button under Hosting → My hosting. The Manage › Access tab shows your username, server IP and panel address.
- SSL: issue a free Let's Encrypt certificate in DirectAdmin once the domain points to the server. See Let's Encrypt in DirectAdmin.
- DKIM: if your DNS stays elsewhere (Option 2), copy the
x._domainkeyrecord from DirectAdmin to your DNS provider. See DKIM in DirectAdmin.
