You can add two-factor authentication (2FA) to your Domain India account from the Security page at /client/security/2fa. Once it is on, signing in needs your password and a six-digit code from an authenticator app. This page covers switching it on, switching it off and the common questions.
Go to /client/security/2fa, click Enable 2FA, confirm your password, scan the QR code with an authenticator app, save your recovery codes and enter the six-digit code. To turn it off, click Disable 2FA on the same page and enter a current code from your app.

1. Turn on 2FA
- Open the Security page.Sign in and go to Account › Security, or /client/security/2fa.
- Click Enable 2FAand enter your current password in the Confirm it's you box.
- Install an authenticator appif you need one: Google Authenticator, Authy or Microsoft Authenticator all work.
- Scan the QR code,or type the Secret Key shown under it into the app.
- Save your recovery codeswith Download Codes or Copy All Codes, and tick the confirmation box.
- Enter the six-digit codefrom the app and click Verify Code.
- Sign in again.You are signed out and sign in with your password plus a code.
2. Turn off 2FA
Only turn 2FA off for a short time, for example while you move to a new phone.
- Open the Security page
- Click Disable 2FA.
- Enter the current six-digit codefrom your authenticator app to confirm.
- Turn it back onwith the new phone as soon as you can.
3. Recovery codes and a lost phone
Setup gives you ten one-time recovery codes. Keep them somewhere other than your phone and never send them to anyone. Generate New Codes on the Security page replaces the whole set.
If your phone is lost and no other device has your authenticator app, open a ticket at /support/ticket from your account email and say you have lost access to your authenticator app. Support will tell you what is needed to confirm the account is yours.
4. Tips
- Remember this device for 30 days on the code screen skips the code on that browser for 30 days. Use it only on your own computer.
- Codes change every 30 seconds. If one is rejected, wait for the next and check the phone is set to automatic date and time.
- Too many wrong codes lock sign-in for 15 minutes.
- cPanel has its own 2FA under Security, where available on your server; it is separate from the client area.

Where is the 2FA setting in the Domain India client area?
Under Account, Security, at domainindia.com/client/security/2fa. The page shows whether two-factor authentication is on and has the Enable 2FA or Disable 2FA button.
How do I disable two-factor authentication?
Open the Security page, click Disable 2FA and enter the current six-digit code from your authenticator app. Turn it back on as soon as you can.
Can I get new recovery codes?
Yes. Click Generate New Codes on the Security page and enter a code from your app. You get a new set of ten, and all the old codes stop working.
I lost my phone. How do I get back in?
If another device has your authenticator app, use it. Otherwise open a ticket at domainindia.com/support/ticket from your account email and say you have lost access to your authenticator app. Never include your password or recovery codes.
