On 19 September 2026 every Windows plan listed Windows Server 2019, IIS 10, .NET 9, 8, 7 and 6, .NET Framework 4.7.2, SQL Server 2019 Express, the Plesk Obsidian panel and a free SSL certificate. Plans differ in sites, storage, mailboxes and MSSQL databases; Enterprise adds a dedicated application pool and wildcard SSL. There is no SSH, SFTP or Remote Desktop, and port 587 is closed for mail.

2. Features by area
URL rewriting and web.config
IIS reads its settings from web.config, not .htaccess. The IIS URL Rewrite module handles redirects and clean URLs; the ASP Business listing names it, and the ASP.NET page lists URL Rewrite 2.0. Use it for rules such as sending all visitors to https://.
Application pools
Each site runs in an IIS application pool. The ASP Enterprise listing includes a dedicated application pool, so your application does not share a worker process with other sites. You can recycle your own pool where Plesk shows that option; you cannot restart IIS or Windows services for the whole server.
3. What shared Windows hosting does not include
- Plesk access with one-click login from the client area
- FTP with explicit TLS, File Manager and Web Deploy
- MSSQL databases and a free SSL certificate
- SSH and SFTP (port 22 is closed)
- Remote Desktop or an administrator login
- Mail on port 587 (use 465 with SSL/TLS)
- Server-wide IIS or Windows service restarts
If your application needs Remote Desktop, installed software or full control of the server, ask support about server options before ordering.
