Plesk Dashboard Overview and Navigation

Plesk provides a powerful, intuitive control panel for managing your Domain India Windows hosting. This guide walks you through the main sections of the Plesk dashboard so you can quickly find the tools you need.

Home Dashboard

The Plesk home page displays:

  • Quick Actions — One-click buttons for common tasks like adding a domain or creating a mailbox
  • Active Subscriptions — Overview of your hosting plans and resource usage
  • Notifications — Important messages from the system (updates, warnings, etc.)
  • Resource Usage — Disk space, bandwidth, and other quota information

Tip: The left sidebar is your main navigation. Use it to jump between sections quickly.

Websites and Domains

The central hub for managing your web presence:

  • Domain List — View all your domains, subdomains, and addon domains
  • Hosting Settings — Configure document root, PHP/ASP.NET version, and web server settings
  • DNS Settings — Manage DNS records (A, CNAME, MX, TXT, SRV, etc.)
  • SSL/TLS Certificates — Install and manage SSL certificates including free Let's Encrypt
  • Apache and Nginx Settings — Fine-tune web server configuration
  • Logs — Access and error logs for each domain
  • Scheduled Tasks — Create Windows Task Scheduler entries
  • Web Application Firewall — Configure ModSecurity rules

Managing a Domain

Click on any domain to see its individual management panel with options for:

  • File management
  • Database management
  • Email configuration
  • Application installation
  • .NET settings
  • IIS application pool configuration

Mail Section

Complete email management:

  • Email Addresses — Create and manage mailboxes on your domains
  • Forwarding — Set up email forwarding rules
  • Autoresponders — Configure automatic replies
  • Webmail — Access email via browser
  • Mail Settings — Configure spam filters and mail server parameters
  • Mailing Lists — Create group distribution lists

To create a new email account:

  1. Click Mail in the left sidebar
  2. Click Create Email Address
  3. Enter the local part (before the @)
  4. Set a password
  5. Configure optional settings (mailbox size, forwarding)
  6. Click OK

Files

Browser-based file management:

  • File Manager — Upload, download, edit, and organize files
  • FTP Access — View FTP credentials and create additional FTP accounts
  • Drag-and-Drop Upload — Drag files from your desktop directly into the file manager
  • Code Editor — Edit files with syntax highlighting
  • Permissions — Set file and folder permissions

Databases

Manage your application databases:

  • Database List — View all MSSQL and MySQL databases
  • Add Database — Create new databases with dedicated users

  • Updates — Manage application updates

Account Settings

Manage your hosting account:

  • Profile — Update contact information
  • Password — Change your Plesk password
  • Two-Factor Authentication — Enable 2FA for extra security
