How to Choose and Customize a Website Template

In the AI Website Builder you don't start from an empty template. The AI picks a template, colour and font for your business when it builds your site, and you can change any of them later without losing your content. This guide shows where those settings are and how to make the site look like your brand.

1. How templates work in the AI builder

When you describe your business, the AI chooses a template, colour and font to suit it, and builds the pages your trade needs. A restaurant gets a menu, and a salon gets bookings. The template controls the look: layout style, typography and spacing. Your content (text, photos, logo, contact details) is stored separately.

That means you can:

• try a different template at any time, and your content comes with you;
• preview a design before applying it, because nothing changes until you click apply;
• undo a design change if you prefer the old one.

2. Choose a template

Don't want to choose? In the Design with AI box, describe the look, for example "luxurious spa, warm and elegant", and the AI picks a template, colour and font to match. You can adjust anything after.

3. Colours and fonts

Under Color & font in the Theme section:

• Colour presets: Blue, Indigo, Green, Teal, Orange, Red, Purple and Slate.
• Custom colour: open the colour picker or type a hex code such as #7c3aed, then click Apply custom. Use your brand colour if you have one.
• Font: choose from 8 fonts.

Colour and font apply on top of whichever template you choose. If your site is already published, changing the template or colour re-publishes it, so the change is live straight away.

4. The hero: the first thing visitors see

Open Design → Hero to change the top of your homepage:

• Hero style. The styles on offer depend on your template. They can include Split (your photo as a side panel), Centered (the intro text in the middle) and Slider (several photos in rotation).
• Hero image. Upload a PNG, JPG or WEBP up to 3 MB, or generate one with AI on a paid plan. Text stays readable over it thanks to an overlay.
• Slideshow photos. For the Slider style, up to 5 photos rotate, with your main hero photo always first.

5. Logo, photos and sections

• Logo: in Design → Media, use Logo Studio. Upload your own (PNG, JPG or WEBP under 1 MB), make a quick lettering logo from your initials, or generate designs with AI on a paid plan. See Adding images and media.
• Homepage sections: in Design → Layout, reorder or remove the homepage sections, or add one from the list, then click Save layout. Sections with no content stay hidden until you add content, and hidden sections are removed from your published site.

6. Or just ask in the chat

Everything above can also be done by typing in the Chat tab. The assistant, Sia, understands requests such as:

• "Switch to a darker template."
• "Make it green."
• "Make the whole site look more premium."
• "Move the gallery above services."

Every change shows in the preview first. If you don't like a result, click Undo this change.

7. Where Domain India fits
